Instructions

  1. Wash the ripe mangoes thoroughly under cool running water.
  2. Cut each mango along the flat sides to separate the pit, then scoop the flesh into a blender.
  3. Blend the mango flesh for 60 to 90 seconds until completely smooth.
  4. Strain the mango puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Measure approximately three cups of mango puree.
  6. Combine the granulated sugar and filtered water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Stir constantly for three to four minutes until the sugar dissolves completely.
  8. Remove the simple syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  9. Pour the cooled simple syrup into the mango puree and mix until completely combined.
  10. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir well.
  11. Pour the prepared mixture into a Ninja Creami-compatible freezer container, filling only to the recommended maximum line.
  12. Place the container upright and level in the freezer.
  13. Freeze for a minimum of 24 hours until completely solid.
  14. Remove the frozen container from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for three to five minutes.
