  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound lean ground beef
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 slices halal beef bacon, cooked and crispy
4 large lettuce leaves (butterhead or romaine)
4 slices tomato
4 slices red onion
4 tablespoons sugar-free ketchup
4 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Divide ground beef into 4 equal patties, seasoning each with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
Place a cheese slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Warm lettuce leaves in the skillet for 10 seconds per side to wilt slightly.
Layer a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, onion slice, bacon, and beef patty.
Top with 1 tablespoon each of ketchup and mustard, then serve immediately.

Notes

Cook patties ahead and refrigerate for up to 2 days; reheat gently.
Swap cheddar with gouda or pepper jack for variation.
Use a cast-iron skillet for optimal sear. Serve with pickles or coleslaw for extra crunch.
