A naturally hydrating, crisp beverage that combines the cooling properties of fresh cucumbers with the subtle sweetness of green apples and a hint of lemon brightness. This cucumber-apple cooler recipe delivers a restaurant-quality drink you can make at home in under five minutes with just a few simple ingredients.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium Fresh Cucumber (English or Persian preferred, sliced into thin rounds)
  • 1 cup Green Apple Juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 1 cup Sparkling Water (plain)
  • ½ fresh Lemon (juiced)
  • 6 to 8 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash your fresh cucumber thoroughly under cool running water to remove any dirt or surface debris.
  2. Slice the cucumber into thin, uniform rounds.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into a small bowl, removing any seeds.
  4. Gently crush fresh mint leaves between your palms to activate their essential oils.
  5. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes, leaving about one inch of space at the top.
  6. Pour half cup of cold green apple juice into each glass as the foundation flavor.
  7. Add the fresh squeezed lemon juice to both glasses, stirring gently to distribute.
  8. Drop five or six cucumber slices into each glass, allowing them to settle against the ice.
  9. Top each glass with half cup of sparkling water, creating the signature fizz.
  10. Stir gently with a long spoon or cocktail stirrer to blend all components.
  11. Garnish each glass with crushed mint leaves and a cucumber slice standing vertically.

Notes

Chef Tips: Chill your glasses in the freezer for at least fifteen minutes before serving to slow ice melting and prevent dilution. Freeze thin cucumber slices on a sheet pan overnight to keep your drink perfectly chilled without watering it down. Bruise your fresh mint leaves gently by rolling them between your palms rather than tearing them to release aromatic oils. Add a small pinch of Himalayan salt just before serving to enhance all the flavors. Serve immediately after assembling to preserve carbonation.
