Ingredients
Scale
- 3 packets unflavored gelatin, approximately 8 grams or 2¼ teaspoons
- 2 cups pure fruit juice
- 1 cup cold filtered water
Instructions
- Pour one cup of cold filtered water into a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly across the surface of the water.
- Allow the gelatin to rest undisturbed for two minutes to bloom.
- Heat two cups of pure fruit juice in a saucepan over medium heat until it reaches approximately 160°F, just before boiling.
- Pour the warm juice over the bloomed gelatin.
- Stir continuously for two minutes until the gelatin dissolves completely.
- Break apart any visible gelatin clumps with the back of a spoon until the mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the liquid mixture into a 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of four hours until completely set and firm to the touch.
- Cut the finished gelatin into six equal squares using a sharp knife dipped in warm water between cuts.
- Serve chilled or store portions in airtight glass containers in the refrigerator.
Notes
Always bloom the gelatin in cold water before combining it with warm juice for the smoothest texture. Use 100% pure fruit juice with no added sugars or artificial sweeteners.
